Advent

Advent is season which the begins the Christian calendar year. It is a season of anticipation where we not only prepare for the annual celebration of our Lord's birth at Christmas, but also the anticipation of his return at the end of the age. We mark this season very differently from the wider society.

You will not see Christmas decorations at All Saints during this time. Instead, you will see the Advent wreath, the clergy vested in blue which is a color associated with Mary the Mother of Christ, and a quieter contemplative mood to our worship and music. It is a refreshing difference from the hurried pace of our culture and an opportunity to slow down.

All Saints invites you to enter in to this anticipatory and holy season. Join us for Sunday worship at 10 am. See our calendar for details.
