RenewalWorks
RenewalWorks is a program of discipleship from our friends at Forward Movement. All Saints undertook the RenewalWorks process in 2025 as a way to help our parish grow deeper in love of God and love of neighbor.
The Process
The RenewalWorks team explored four basic questions in their workshops:
-
Where have we been?
-
Where are we now?
-
Where do we feel called to go?
-
How will we get there?
The parish assisted the team by taking the Spiritual Life Inventory and participating in some of the exercises to help clarify values, beliefs and spiritual practices we both currently engage and ones we want to learn going forward.

The Spiritual Life Continuum
Everyone is on a spiritual journey. When we come into a community, we bring our own spiritual self to grow and deepen in love of God and love of neighbor as we seek to follow in the way of Jesus. There are four stages in the spiritual life: Exploring, Growing, Deepening, and Centered. This is NOT a hierarchy - it is descriptive of how our spiritual lives move and we can move right or left on this continuum depending on what is happening in our lives. Movement from one stage to another is initiated by a catalyst - often a spiritual practice which helps us grow deeper in our faith.

Profile & Best Practices
When we took the Spiritual Life Inventory as a parish, the results were aggregated into a parish profile. There are eight archetypal profiles that describe the communal spiritual life of a parish. All Saints' results placed us in the "Troubled" profile which is typical for Episcopal Churches (43% fall into this group). "Troubled" is a misnomer, it really means "restless" or "hungry" for spiritual formation - and this is GOOD! It means the Spirit is prodding us to take action to help us grow.

Of the five best practices identified for spiritual growth, two emerged as the areas of recommended focus: Embed the Bible in everything and Pastor the Community.
