Prayer and Worship Resources

ree

Episcopalians place a strong emphasis on liturgical worship. Liturgy comes from two Greek words: laos (people) and ergon (work/energy). Thus our worship is the "work and energy of the people of God" and involves everyone in the community. Prayer is a central focus of our communal liturgical work and is also an important individual act of devotion and spiritual growth. Daily prayer, known as the Daily Office, can be prayed throughout each day: morning, noonday, evening, and compline (the night prayer of the Church). Here are some Episcopal resources for prayer and worship to help you.
